StoryFest for Kids (Hudson)

Geared towards children ages 6-10 (Grades 1-4), this activity will take place in English with French questions always welcomed. The event will give the young participants a chance to think about their favourite foods in relation to the love they have for their favourite person.

Gillian Sze will read her picture book, My Love for You Is Always, and then invites participants to draw, write and afterwards share what they have done in a show-and-tell with the author and others. The required art/writing materials will be supplied.

Gillian Sze is the author of multiple poetry collections and picture books, including My Love for You Is Always (illustrated by Michelle Lee) and You Are My Favourite Color (illustrated by Nina Mata). She has studied Creative Writing and English Literature and received a PhD in études anglaises from Université de Montréal. Originally from Winnipeg, she now resides in Montreal where she teaches creative writing and literature.
