Heartbeast: Theatre for queer/trans youth and families

A one-act comedic drama play created especially for queer youth, their families and educators, and is about finding acceptance and belonging while being authentic.

HeartBeast is a coming of age fable, where a teenager embarks on a journey of self-discovery as they explore their gender-identity. Along the way, they encounter an extravagant, bizarre creature who helps them to find their true self through the art of drag and play-pretend. Assisted by this mysterious being, they explore different identities through a tender game of shapeshifting as they face their own inner beasts.
