For the first time, The Cumberland Heritage Village Museum in Ontario is offering a special drive through experience of its festively-lit historical village.

To create a contact-free, safe experience, visitors remain in their cars while slowly passing through the 1920s and 30s village illuminated by over 30,000 lights. Colourful vignettes highlight Christmas traditions from a hundred years ago and you may even spot Santa hard at work.

A radio program provides period music to complement the tour, and as an added holiday treat, each household will receive a sweet-smelling goody bag to continue the celebration at home. Though visits with Santa aren’t allowed this year, each vehicle will receive a telegram from the North Pole.

The experience takes around 15 minutes and advance, pre-paid, time-ticketed non-transferable registration is required.
