Having children is a very costly endeavor. If you are interested in saving money, you may want to check out a new website, called Sweet Baby Dealz, created by two Montreal moms.
Founders Carine Sroujian and Jackie Iannotti decided to embark on a mompreneurial adventure to offer great deals on quality mom and baby products. Having spent their careers in marketing, PR, and project management, both moms were on maternity leave when they decided to use their skills to launch a business of their own.
“As moms, we understand how difficult and time-consuming it can be to find quality items at great prices,” Sroujian says. Believing there was a hole it the market, the two women set about filling the gap.
The bilingual site offers a weekly “sweet deal” with 40 to 80 per cent off the product’s retail price. For example, the site recently featured cloth-activity toys for babies with prices slashed to about $19 from the original $38. The site features popular brands like Nozone Clothing Company, Lifefactory and Smitten Baby. Whenever possible, they try to support local brands that are organic, eco-friendly and natural.
Items can be shipped for a fee but Montreal shoppers can pick up their products at Melons & Clementines, 5659 Sherbrooke St. W. in N.D.G or Toi et Moi Centre de Maternité, 4490 Autoroute 440 W. in Laval.
New deals are posted every Monday and you can sign up to receive email notification.
