Cosmodome gets a facelift

The Cosmodome space museum in Laval has undergone a renovation to update its exhibits and programs. The refurbished centre now offers three simulated missions that show visitors what it is like to explore Mars, the moon and the cosmos. The collection of space-related artifacts has been expanded and updated.

The Cosmodome also offers a space camp for children ages 9-15 where participants spend three days and two nights involved in space workshops, training simulators, a mission and more. A shorter space camp for children ages 5-8 is also available.

The Cosmodome is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the winter season. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for students, $10 for seniors, $40 per family, and free for children under the age of 7. The price includes access to one simulated mission. Laval residents receive a 50 per cent discount until February 15.

It is located at 2150 Autoroute des Laurentides in Laval. For more information, call (450) 978-3600 or visit www.cosmodome.org.
