The 36th edition of the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu takes place from August 10-18, 2019.
The skies will be decorated with close to 100 hot air balloons from all over the world. Visitors can learn about hot air balloons by meeting with pilots or taking flight.
The Night Glows are back, these magnificent held-to-the-ground balloons lit up just like giant Chinese lanterns. On the main stage, the line-up includes renowned performers, such as Akon, Sean Kingston, Serena Ryder and Walk off the Earth.
New this year is a 400 foot long zip line. Also, La course au ballon is a competition in which each player must pedal on a stationary bike connected to a small hot air balloon to have it rise up to the top as fast as possible. La Lagune area offers small pedal boat rides for families and the Tim Hortons Discovery stage will have many family friendly shows. In addition, there will be table games, an arts and crafts corner, and a relaxation area. At the Chevrolet Zone, families can discover different vehicles and the small, remote-controlled cars and race tracks. Other family activities include skateboard workshops, giant sand boxes and huge chalkboards.
This contest is now closed. Congratulations to our winners:
