An upcoming event for parents who homeschool, or would like to, will offer advice about common struggles and information about curriculum and learning materials.
Organized by The Association of Christian Parent-Educators of Quebec (ACPEQ), the June 9 and 10 conference is the largest homeschooling event in the province.
There will be a variety of workshops, including information for new homeschoolers, parents teaching high school, project-based learning, Christian-oriented parenting advice, how to enrol in University without completing CEGEP, how to handle visits from provincial youth protection workers, and the risks of digital addiction for children.
Workshops will be in either French or English, and translators will be available for some events. Keynote speakers will offer advice for Christian parents who homeschool.
Children between 5 and 12 can participate in a full day of supervised activities but advance registration is required. The event takes place at 1750 montée Masson in Laval. For more information, visit acpeq.org.
