Repercussion Theatre is breathing new life into one of the Bard’s classic plays during the annual Shakespeare-in-the-Park event from July 11 to Aug. 11.

Geared to kids aged 8 and up, the dark comedy Measure for Measure tells the story of Claudio, a man unlawfully arrested on grounds of immorality, who must struggle to clear his name while navigating through the tricky waters of corruption.

Before several productions, local organization Geordie Theatre will be hosting free workshops for kids aged 8 and up, where they will have the opportunity to warm up with the cast. Past productions have included Romeo & Juliet, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, and Much Ado About Nothing.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
