On Oct. 22, families can head to Cineplex theatres across the province and take in a free movie during their annual Community Day event.

A slew of family-friendly movies will be shown including the Academy Award winning animated film Inside Out starring Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling, Zootopia, The Finest Hours and the acclaimed live action version of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.

Although the movies are free, treats at the concession stand will cost you $2 and go towards the WE charity, formerly known as Free The Children. Theatres will also be selling bracelets with motivational quotes on them for the same price to benefit the international organization.

The day kicks off at 8:30 a.m. when the doors open and screenings begin at 9 a.m. For more information and a complete list of participating theatres, visit cineplex.com/communityday.
