Centaur Theatre offering children's plays

Centaur Theatre will be entertaining kiddos and parents on select Saturday mornings this fall and winter with its live stream children’s series.

Centaur Theatre Children’s Plays

Up first on Saturday, Oct. 24 is the music and laughter-filled Justin Eddy and the Great Cosmic Crisis by the Doorstep Theatre Project, featuring Justin Eddy and Espoir Segbeaya. Geared to kids 6-12, this play tells the story of space cadet Justin Eddy, as he is refereed to back to earth, to try and figure out why gravity’s been reversed and how to liberate his friends who can help him fix it. The 45-minute show can be watched live at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube, and will be available to view on the show page for one week after the broadcast.

The Children’s Series will continue on November 28 with Just Enough by Lost and Found Puppet Co. featuring Maggie Winston. Three more shows—including a collaboration with Geordie Theatre — will be announced soon.

There is a bonus event taking place on Instagram Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. Meet the play’s lead actor, Justin Eddy, and director Murdoch Schon as they have a conversation with Centaur’s Associate Artist Rose Plotek.
