There’s a whole lot of silliness going on over at CBC, and we’re loving it! Hosted by CBC Kid’s Gary the Unicorn and Mr. Orlando the Moose, The Story Store is a series of podcasts where story “orders” are taken from kids across Canada and turned into hilarious adventures.

A collaboration between CBC Podcasts and CBC Kids, The Story Store is currently in its third season. Each episode features a special request transformed into a hilarious and detailed story brought to life by voice performers, original songs, and celebrity cameos.

Maybe your kids would like to hear a tale about a hot dog in space like CBC Kids viewer Katie requested, or pancakes climbing a mountain in a snowstorm — an order placed by a young listener. Whatever the requests, very serious store manager Orlando and his energetic store assistant Gary will imagine up a creative concept of witty storylines and fun sounds and songs. Podcasts range from five to 30 minutes, and are all delightful.

Make sure to subscribe to The Story Store so you can listen to new podcasts every time the store is open for business.  You can subscribe and listen on CBC ListenApple PodcastsGoogle Podcasts, or wherever you find your favourite podcasts. You can also find some episodes on the CBC Kids YouTube page.

Kids can submit story orders any time by calling toll-free at 1-888-413-2781. Or email your audio request to thestorystore@cbc.ca
