For the first time, the Old Port of Montreal has a carrousel for families with young children. Also known as a merry-go-round, the authentic French carrousel can be found at Place des Vestiges and costs $3 per ride. It’s open every weekend from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and, starting on June 11, it will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting.  This new, inexpensive and old-fashion type of ride is another good reason to introduce young kids to the Old Port.
