Montreal Families

Boat tour on Lachine Canal is a fun family outing

Montreal may be known for its vibrant festivals, scenic Mount Royal, and charming Old Montreal, but the city’s waterways also offer a unique perspective on the city for both tourists and locals alike. This summer, discover the beauty of Montreal’s waterways with a guided boat tour along the historic and quiet waters of the Lachine Canal.

Guided Historic Boat Tours

The Petit Navire invites you to explore the richness of the historic site that dates back more than 150 years. Starting from the Jacques-Cartier Pier or the Atwater Market, passengers can embark on the Petit Navire, an ecological electric-powered vessel that glides quietly along the canal. Bilingual guides will share the history of the Parks Canada National Historic Site as the boat passes through locks and beside the wildlife who live along the shores.
