A long-time basketball coach has started a new program for kids in the West End. Head coach Kevin Fuks has brought his JHOOPS program to Cote St. Luc in the hopes of using basketball to inspire youth to stay active and succeed, while having fun at the same time.

The fall program runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings from October 15 to December 5. For children in Grades 2 to 4, classes go from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and for those in Grades 5 and 6, it will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The cost is $150 and courses will take place at the Giovanni Palatucci Educational Centre Gymnasium, 5785 Parkhaven Ave., in Cote St. Luc.
