The Quebec Federation of Home and School Associations will host a day-long annual fall conference for parents on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 focusing on bullying and related issues.
Dr. Shaheen Shariff, associate professor in the department of Education at McGill University, will speak on: Define the Line: Clarifying the blurred lines between cyberbullying and digital citizenship.
As well, there will be a series of workshops for parents on such issues as child motivation, proposed anti-bullying legislation, technology in the classroom, and career development and leadership.
The event will be held at Honoré Mercier Elementary School, 8280 Nantes St. in St. Leonard from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $25 for Home and School members, $35 for non-members.
