Salon national des animaux de compagnie will hold its show Nov. 3 and 4, 2012, featuring dogs, cats, exotic birds, reptiles, rabbits and rodents, too. Attractions include dog and cat judging, a dog weight-pull competition, pony rides, inflatable games, a dinosaur area and a mini-farm. Organizers say they expect more than 50 breeds of dogs and 13 breeds of cats, as well as more than 70 species of reptiles, along with breeders and handlers who can answer questions.

Opening hours are Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Olympic Stadium, 4141 Pierre de Coubertin St. Montreal. No outside animals are allowed at the show. Admission is $13 for adults, $11 for students and seniors, $9 for children 5 to 11 and free for those under 5.
