Adolescents & body image

An internationally-recognized eating-disorder specialist will be giving a free lecture on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 entitled: Promoting a postive body image in adolescents: Why and How? It will be followed by a panel discussion featuring regional eating disorder experts.

Dianne Neumark-Sztainer, Ph.D will be giving her talk from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. followed by the panel discussion from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. To reserve a spot, call (514) 761-6131 ext. 2895. It will take place at the Douglas Institute, 6875 Lasalle Blvd in Verdun. Parking will be available onsite for $3.

This event is being hosted by the Douglas Institute Eating Disorders Program and Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Quebec (ANEB). These two organizations have been close partners in trying to prevent eating disorders and have helped those who have them.
