A convention dedicated entirely to children
For its second edition, KidCon Montreal invites families to take part in a weekend packed with activities. The two-day convention is similar to Comiccon but is geared to the younger fans of comics, movies, video games and more.
On Oct. 22 and 23, kids 3-12 can discover new activities, products, and innovative toys as well as take part in various workshops. There will also a video-game zone, a crafts’ corner, an area to play board games and inflatables. And children can meet characters like Clifford the Big Red Dog and take part in a costume parade.
Exhibitors will be showcasing toys, games, clothing, accessories, books, comics along with well-known brands like Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, and much more.
New this year, Télétoon, YTV, and popular kids show PAW Patrol will be presenting their own activities. YTV will be doing a backstage tour, where visitors will get the opportunity to go behind the scenes of The Zone with a 360° virtual reality tour. And kids can meet friends from PAW Patrol.
There will also be mini-golf, bowling, carnival games, slot car racing and arcade games. KidCon takes place in Uniprix Stadium at Jarry Park and will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets start at $23 for a single day or $40 for a two-day pass and free for kids under 2.
