Parenting workshop offers tips on monitoring teens’ online behaviour
Dr. Alissa Sklar will lead a discussion about implementing safe online habits in teens
It would be nearly impossible to keep teens off social media in today’s world, so how can parents implement safe and healthy online habits? On Oct. 23, Dr. Alissa Sklar will host The Power of Positive Parenting workshop, which will provide parents with tips on how they can prevent risky online behaviour.
The workshop will include how to lay the groundwork for healthy online habits early on and how to monitor online behaviour while giving independence and more.
The talk will be held at the Temple Emanu-El-Beth Shalom, located on 4100 Sherbrooke West, at 7 p.m. The workshop is open to all ages and costs $25 at the door for non-members of the temple. Members get in for free.
