Quebec urges people to get the flu shot
A video by the Canadian Pediatric Society encourages families to get vaccinated and debunks the three most common myths
Quebec launched its annual flu campaign Nov.1 and is encouraging the public to get vaccinated. It is strongly recommended for children six to 23 months old, those who are pregnant, anyone with chronic disease and people over 60. The flu is very contagious and can lead to serious health complications.
The Quebec Ministry of Public Health has a list of places and times to get the flu shot.
The Canadian Pediatric Society continues to encourage annual influenza vaccination for all children and youth 6 months and older. A flu vaccine video, produced in partnership with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, is a timely resource that addresses three common myths about the flu vaccine and reinforces the importance of getting the shot each year to protect yourself and others.
