In addition to sports, campers will take part in treasure hunts, arts and crafts, and day trips to various attractions
The Blue Light Sports Summer Camp, which takes place from July 4 to August 24, offers kids and adults with special needs two outings per week and tons of daily activities, including soccer, basketball, bowling, swimming, tennis, mini-putt and more.
In addition to sports, members will also partake in treasure hunts, arts and crafts and enjoy trips to the Ecomuseum, Aquadome, and the Terra Cotta Nature Park in Pointe-Claire.
The camp costs $250 per week and offers programs for four age groups including children (6-11 years old), teenagers (12-17 years old), adults (18-29 years old) and seniors (30-50 years old). Located at the Soccerplexe Catalogna in Lachine, the summer camp will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. There will also be daycare available in the mornings from 7:30 a.m. and in the evenings until 5:30 p.m.
There will be an open house on July 3. Members will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. To register, call 514-581-7641. Also, donations are being accepted to help families who cannot afford the camp, as well as to cover expenses for weekly outings.
