New toy store opens in N.D.G.
Ojeux carries board games, educational toys, puzzles, dollhouses, wooden toys, superhero figurines, musical instruments, costumes, toy trains, remote-control drones, and more
Independent toy store Ojeux has added a third location in the Montreal area with the opening of a new 3000-square-foot boutique on Sherbrooke St. W., in N.D.G.
Owner Danny Cayouette said Ojeux is a family-run enterprise that focuses on quality toys that families won’t find at the big box stores. The company carries board games, educational toys, puzzles, dollhouses, wooden toys, superhero figurines, musical instruments, costumes, toy trains, and remote-control drones.
The first store was opened 10 years ago in the Plateau followed by a second location in Verdun a few years ago. “The world of toys is wonderful,” Cayouette said. “I love to work with families and kids. It’s a good job, to make families and children happy.”
Cayouette said he chose to open his third store in N.D.G. because customers kept talking about the area. While there are several other independent toy stores nearby, he said that is a boon for local families as they benefit from more choice and selection than any one store can provide. “When there is competition, the client is the winner in the end,” he said.
Ojeux sells products, hobby supplies and other play accessories in-store and online. The company offers a selection of more than 20,000 products for babies, children and the young at heart. Gift wrapping is free as is shipping for online orders over $75.
The new store is located at 5855 Sherbrooke St. W. The other two Ojeux locations are at 1278 East Mont-Royal in Montreal, and 3923 Wellington St. in Verdun.
