If you’ve had your fill of holiday movies for the season, the Montreal Science Centre is offering visitors the chance to check out its permanent exhibits along with an IMAX movie at a reduced price.
From Dec. 26 until Jan. 8, a $20 ticket allows you to discover four exhibits including Fabrik, an interactive workshop where visitors ages 6 and up can get creative and build things using different tools and objects. In the Human exhibit, kids ages 8 and up can trace human evolution from its early origins and learn interesting facts about our species.
For visitors ages 6 and up, Science 26 has fun with language by discussing different scientific concepts that start with each letter of the alphabet. For example, at the ‘A’ station, there will be an activity relating to animation. The Clic! exhibit is geared to little ones between the ages of 4 and 7 where they can learn about shapes and structures using building blocks and other materials.
Also included in the $20 promotion is a screening of the IMAX film Humpback Whales 3D. In this documentary, we are introduced to one of the planet’s largest animals and explore how they interact with each other in different environments.
When you’re done checking out the exhibits and the IMAX movie, you can lace up your skates and hit the ice at the rink next door for half the price of regular admission when you show your science centre ticket.
