With all the construction happening around Montreal, who wants to drive anymore? Well, the truth is you don’t have to thanks to the STM’s Family Outings program, which makes getting around the city with public transport a lot cheaper for parents.

The program allows up to five children aged 6-11 to ride public transit for free during certain periods when accompanied by one adult with a valid fare. This offer applies from 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23 to Sunday, Jan. 8. Kids under 5 always travel for free.

The STM is also offering exclusive discounts to various shows, events, and other activities around Montreal upon presentation of a valid STM transit fare. Families can get $2 off per person at a puppet show presented by Théâtre de marionettes and Maison Théâtre is also offering a 10 per cent discount off its regular admission price.
