New camp offers high-tech and traditional activities
There are an array of choices for yougsters who attend this camp in T.M.R.
A new camp opening this summer will offer kids the opportunity to enjoy a mix of high-tech and traditional activities. Located in T.M.R., Camp X Summer Camp activities will include swimming, dancing, film production, circuit training, science experiments, cooking lessons, coding and more.
There will also be inflatables, mobile laser tag, indoor snowball battles and escape rooms. Some high-tech games include live video games, which will allow campers to connect a phone or tablet to a pod and play games like tag. And a giant slingshot will allow them to launch projectiles across the gym or outdoors.
A Sports X Camp component is for athletes who want to sharpen their skills. In the morning, they will focus on traditional sports, such as soccer, hockey, and baseball. Campers will also be introduced to lesser-known sports like ultimate Frisbee, bocce, floor hockey and more. There will be a tournament at the end of each week.
Various theme days will include Disney, The Decades, The Amazing Race, Olympics, Beach Day, Pajama Day and more. The camp will take place weekly throughout July and August. One week costs $295, or $275 if you sign up for two or more weeks. A further discount is available for those who sign up for the whole summer.
A daycare service in the morning costs $6 per day and $10 for morning and afternoon, as well as a bus pick-up and drop-off for $50 per week from the West Island. Kids are expected to bring lunches but will be provided drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Camp X will be located at La Rinque, 8355 Montview Rd. in T.M.R.
