For the first time ever, Peppa Pig is bringing her small screen adventures to stages across Canada with a stop in Montreal on April 21.
Peppa Pig’s Big Splash! is based on the animated British TV series of the same name that centres on Peppa, her brother George, her parents and a colourful crew of friends and neighbours. In the live show, the perky piglet enlists the help of Mr. Bull to fix a leak in the roof of her nursery. In order to raise money for tools and materials, Peppa and her family, Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep organize a carnival filled with games and activities like a puddle-jumping competition.
Directed by Richard Lewis, the live performances feature life-sized puppets and costumed actors engaging in theatrical interactions, musical numbers and dance sequences.
Fans can also follow Peppa’s adventures through the eponymous book series and the 2015 animated film Peppa Pig: The Golden Boots.
Tickets for the show cost between $42.25 and $68.75. Little ones under the age of 1 get in free. There will be two performances, 1 p.m. and at 5 p.m. at the Maisonneuve Theatre in Place des Arts, 175 Ste. Catherine St. W.
