The Alexander von Humboldt German International School in Montreal (AvH) is a trilingual independent private school belonging to a worldwide network of over 130 German schools abroad. Its curriculum meets both German and Quebec standards. AvH welcomes students from preschool to Grade 12.

More than half of our students do not speak German at home, nor do they have a German background. The school prides itself on a preschool program that gradually integrates children into the German language environment. Starting in Grade 1, we offer supervised homework programs, afternoon playgroups, and various extra-curricular activities such as choir, drama, arts and crafts, and team sports.

Our friendly and culturally rich learning environment attracts students from numerous backgrounds, so tolerance and flexibility come naturally at AvH.
