Old Port offers fun skating activities
Beginning Dec. 8, the skating rink at Bonsecours Basin with be open with skate rental available on site
Prepare to bundle up the kids and go skating in one of Montreal's most beautiful and historic settings: the Bonsecours Basin in the Old Port.
The skating rink opens for the season on Saturday, December 8, 2018 and features great ice quality as well as music and themed nights.
Enjoy the "Fire on Ice" firework displays set to music as they burst over the Old Montreal skyline on Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. between December 16, 2018 and January 5, 2019.
On February 2, 2019 enjoy an afternoon of activities on ice during Le Patin Libre Company event. From 1 to 4 p.m. there will be games, workshops and friendly competitions for all ages, as well as performances by experienced skaters.
The rink is open until March 10, 2019 Monday to Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Skate rentals and sharpening are available on site. A one-day family pass is $18, or $6.95 per adult and $4.60 per child aged 6-12; children under 6 skate for free.
Season passes are also available for both individuals and families. Individual memberships purchased before Dec. 21 include a free ticket to the Imax®Telus Cinema at the Montreal Science Centre (valid until Feb. 22 2019) and you get two tickets with a family membership.
