European Christmas market in Longueuil
St. Mark Park is the location of a European-style market that has mini wooden houses featuring various artisans and specialty food
Enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional European Christmas market taking place this December in St. Mark Park, Longueuil. Stroll down the evergreen-lined walkways and browse over 50 brightly-decorated mini wooden houses featuring local specialty food and artisan wares.
Entertainment includes demonstrations of old traditional crafts as well as choirs, music, and dance shows. Hop on the mini-train or take a carriage ride through the old town, taste local specialties like maple snow taffy and doughnuts, or look at the work of more than 60 artisans selling everything from textiles and wood to fur and jewelry along with alcohol and food. Children can visit Santa on Fridays and Dec. 16 to 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The market is open Fridays through Sundays from Dec. 2 to 22 at St. Mark Park, between St. Jean and St. Sylvestre in Longueuil. The grand opening event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 2.
