Christmas activities for young kids at railway museum
From the model train around the Christmas tree to the famous children’s book Polar Express, trains have long been associated with homecomings, traditional times as well as Christmas.
This year, the Canadian Railway Museum, Exporail, celebrates this connection with the exposition A Railway Christmas, weekends from Nov. 19, 2016 to January 8, 2017.
In one visit to the museum, kids can search for Christmas stockings, create and decorate their own Christmas cookie, hear children's story "Peter the Hogger," and check out the decorated locomotives. Letters to Santa can be posted via a specially decorated mail car or children can meet him on weekends from Nov. 19 to Dec. 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m..
The cost is $18 for adults, $9 for children ages 4-12 and FREE for children under 3 years.
Exporail is located at 110 St. Pierre St. in St. Constant.
